Website development services that rank as well as they look

We build the site. Then we have to rank it.

A boutique agency in Oradea, Romania. Our website development services cover marketing sites, stores and content platforms for European companies. Search is our main business, so the build never fights the SEO that follows.

  • Senior developers only, no juniors on billable work
  • Fixed scope quoted after discovery, never guessed on a call
  • Code, content and accounts handed over in full

Scope

Website development services: what we actually build

Development means turning an agreed design and scope into maintainable code with a CMS behind it. Our web development services stop at brand identity: logos and visual systems belong to someone else. Platform is chosen after scope, never sold before it.

Marketing and corporate sites

Template-driven builds your team publishes to, plus campaign pages we optimise for conversion.

Multi-language sites

Correct hreflang, one URL per language, an editing flow translators can use.

Content and comparison sites

Taxonomies, filtered listings, comparison tables and templates that stay fast at scale.

E-commerce

Catalogue structure, faceted navigation, EU tax rules, a checkout that survives a cheap phone.

Custom front-ends

A bespoke front end on a WordPress back end, familiar editor tooling behind it.

Website redesign services

Replacing a site you have outgrown, with the redirect map written before the first template.

Fit

Who this is for — and who it is not

A small client roster is deliberate. Good-fit projects have one decision-maker, a real launch window, and a budget band you will name before we scope.

European SMEs and B2B

Companies replacing a site they have outgrown, where the build now blocks marketing.

Teams with no developer

You own the content. You need a senior who owns the code, CMS and releases.

Publishers and comparison sites

Projects where template logic, internal linking and crawl efficiency beat decoration.

“We are not the cheapest quote, we do not drop your logo into a template, and we do not build native mobile apps. You hear that on the first call.”

Deliverables

What you get: the deliverables list

Projects open with a written discovery document — scope, sitemap, information architecture. Then the responsive build on staging, code in a Git repository that transfers to you.

Before launch we set up GA4 and Google Tag Manager, wire consent to your cookie policy, and hand over the redirect map. After launch: CMS training, documentation, and a support window covering defects. New requests are quoted separately.

Process

Our web development process, step by step

Week ranges count from a signed scope, not your first email. Two things slip projects: copy that arrives late, and approval cycles with too many people.

Week 0

Discovery and quote

We interview whoever owns the site, map pages and integrations, return a fixed-price scope.

Weeks 1-2

Prototype and approval

Key templates built as working pages, not flat mockups. You approve on a real phone.

Weeks 2-8

Build on staging

Templates, CMS fields, integrations, content migration. One written update a week, same day.

Launch week

QA and handover

Checklist QA, redirect testing, go-live, training. The senior who scoped it built it.

Platform choice

Choosing the platform: WordPress, WooCommerce or custom

Five questions settle it: who edits day to day, catalogue size, required integrations, peak traffic, and what your team can maintain once we have gone. Most European SMEs are best served by WordPress, and we say so even though a custom build bills more.

WordPress

Right when non-technical staff publish regularly. Custom blocks and a clean editor, no page-builder bloat.

WooCommerce

Right for catalogues into the low thousands, EU tax rules, one home for stock and orders.

Headless or custom

Custom web development is worth the extra cost only when the interface is genuinely an application. Otherwise it is a maintenance bill.

Pricing

What website development costs

We do not publish figures: a number without a scope is a guess. How that number is built, we can be straight about. Yours comes back with the free audit, in writing, assumptions listed. Too vague to quote? A paid discovery comes off the build if you proceed.

How it is structured

Fixed price after discovery for defined projects. A day rate for open-ended work. A cancellable monthly retainer for ongoing care.

What moves the number

Unique page templates, languages, integrations required, and how much content we migrate rather than you re-entering it.

What sits outside it

Licences, hosting and stock assets billed at cost in your name, never marked up. Copywriting quoted separately.

Built in

SEO and performance built in, not bolted on afterwards

Crawlable markup, clean heading structure, schema where it earns something, readable URLs, internal linking planned at template level — set while the templates are written, which is when it is cheap. Retrofitting later is the invoice nobody enjoys.

Core Web Vitals are a build requirement with a stated target: we test on staging against the thresholds Ahrefs documents and will not launch a template that fails. On migrations the safeguard is a URL inventory, a one-to-one 301 map following Moz’s redirection guidance, a staged launch, then a ranking check. Our SEO services and technical SEO work carry on from there.

How we work

Working with a senior-only team in Oradea

You are hiring a small website development company, not a production line. No juniors on billable work: whoever scopes your project writes the code and answers your emails, with no account manager relaying questions. EU time zone, English delivery, GDPR handled as an EU supplier with a DPA available. Contract, code and accounts are yours from handover. We also say no more often than most: to work we cannot do well, and to scope that would quietly cost you rankings.

Next step

Tell us what is wrong with the site you have

Four things make a quote useful: your current URL, what is going wrong with it, your target launch date, and a budget band. The first call runs about half an hour, mostly us asking questions. A written scope and fixed price follow within days.

Common questions

Fair questions, straight answers

How much do website development services cost?

Defined projects get a fixed price after discovery; open-ended work runs on a day rate. Unique templates, languages, integrations and content migration move the number. Licences, hosting and stock assets are billed at cost, never marked up. Your figure comes with the free audit.

How long does it take to build a website?

Counted from a signed scope, not your first enquiry: a focused marketing site takes weeks, a larger multi-language build a couple of months, a store migration longer. Late content and slow approvals cause most delays. Fixed deadline? We phase the launch.

What is the difference between web design and web development?

Design decides how the site looks and how the journey works. Development turns that into maintainable code with a CMS behind it — the service on this page. We start from Figma files or an existing brand system and review them before quoting.

Do I own the website and the code after launch?

Yes. Code, content, hosting and analytics accounts transfer to you, written into the contract. No proprietary CMS, no licence held hostage: plugin licences are registered in your name. You could move to another developer without a rebuild.

Will a new website hurt my Google rankings?

It can, and the cause is rarely the design — it is unmapped URLs and lost internal links. The safeguard is a URL inventory, a one-to-one 301 map, a staged launch, then a ranking check. Fluctuation after a big migration is normal; a permanent drop is not.

Do you work with clients outside Romania?

Yes. We work in English across European time zones and invoice as an EU supplier, reverse charge inside the union. Meetings run by video call, with one written update a week. GDPR is handled directly and a data processing agreement is available.

Do you offer support and maintenance after launch?

Every build includes a post-launch window covering defects: anything not working as scoped is fixed as part of the project. New requests are quoted separately, and we say which is which before starting. A retainer afterwards is optional, never a condition of the site staying up.

Can you work with our existing design or in-house designer?

Yes, often the cleanest way to run a project. For a clean handover we need components rather than flat screens, interaction states, responsive breakpoints and fonts with licences. Where the design has gaps, we flag and quote them.
